Joe Root May Miss First Test Match against West Indies that starts in next two months.
England vs West Indies may be the first series of England this summer, West Indies is scheduled to play the Test series in August against England in England this year.
After that series, Pakistan is also scheduled to play the full series against them. Joe Root who is the skipper/captain of England team is going to miss the first test match against West Indies in this summer due to his child.
Joe Root’s wife expecting a child next month, which means Joe Root is going to miss first test match for England against West Indies.
Vice Captain Ben Stokes is highly expected to lead the England side in the absence of Joe Root. Joe Root’s absence will be crucial for West Indies as he has been main character for England side.
Although Ben Stokes has been full of success in last two or three years but Joe Root is most consistent batsman for England. He debuted in 2012 for England and since then he has been regular part of the England side which is why he may miss the team and team may miss his services as whole against West Indies.
Ben Stokes’ last few innings has been huge difference between England and other sides but expecting him to get big hundreds for the team is almost unexpected because he is an allrounder who can bat, not the batsman who is going to lead the team with big scores or something like that.
But one thing should be admired is that he is someone who know how to lead the team when he bowls or bat on the field.
His last scores are big achievements for his team, many may remember his scores against Australia in last summer in England.
